Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV) refers to acts of violence or abuse that are directed at a person or group based on their gender and committed, assisted, or amplified by digital technologies.
TFGBV is a serious and growing problem. Half of Australian women have faced tech-facilitated abuse at some point in their lifetime. Digital tools can be used to stalk, threaten, monitor, impersonate, humiliate or control people, often in ways that are hard to escape.
