After over two years of consultation and review of the Privacy Act, the Attorney General’s Department released the final report in February 2023 and sought public feedback to shape the final direction of the Privacy Act review.
This follows two previous rounds of consultation on an Issues Paper and a Discussion paper. We anticipate that the next phase of reform will be legislation.
